Open Bible Christian School, established in 1971, was founded upon the teachings of God's Word the Bible. Our school offers grades K-3 through the 12th grade. We are accredited by the Georgia Association of Christian Schools and offer College Prep and Tech Prep High School diplomas. Qualified teachers, fully equipped classrooms - We use a combination of Bob Jones and ABEKA curriculums. We stress academic excellence, hands-on learning and independent reasoning skills with a phonetic approach to reading emphasizing comprehension.
Extracurricular learning opportunities - PS/Elementary students participate in at least 2 field trips as well as additional class activities. Various community leaders and professionals visit the classrooms throughout the year.
Science and Computer Labs offer hands-on experience to high school students. A computer with academically related software is available in each elementary classroom.
Library - boasts 6000 books as well as audio-visual materials.
Spanish classes are offered for elementary and High School students.
A full Music Program for all grades - There are two major musical productions each year for elementary, and one musical production for junior high. The junior and senior high competes yearly in Fine Arts Competition at Rock Eagle in solo and group competition taking high honors each year.
Sports - OBCS offers junior and senior high boys, junior and senior high boys and girls basketball, boys baseball, and girls softball. Award winning cheerleading is available for girls 7th - 12th grade. Last year ended with three state championships for basketball (3rd consecutive year), baseball, and soccer.
Quality Bible Teaching - Christian Living and Bible Doctrine is taught in every grade. All students participate in weekly Chapel services.
Heritage Studies for all grades. Patriotism is emphasized as students are taught to love America.
